1. Turn on the device you wish to program to the remote. Insert media if relevant, such as a dvd or video cassette. Have your codes ready that coincide with the brand of the device you will be programming the remote to. (Codes are found in the Manufacturer's User Guide)

2. Press the device key on the remote that you will be programming, such as TV or AUX.

*note: The AUX key is used to program a Audio Amplifier or Receiver, a DVD Player, a Home-Theater-In-A-Box Device, a PVR or DVR, or a VCR.

3. Press and hold the Setup button on the remote until the mode key you selected in step 2 blinks twice, then release the Setup button.

4. Locate the code(s) for the name brand of the device you are programming. (More than one code may need to be tried to find the correct code for the device)

5. Enter the first four-digit code found for the device. When the correct code is entered the mode key you selected will blink twice. If an invalid code is entered the mode key you selected will display a single long blink and exit the programming mode. Repeat steps 2-5 with the next code from the User's Guide for your device. When the correct code is entered and the mode key blinks twice, you can then move on to step 6.

6. Press the power button on the remote control while aiming at the device you just programmed. The device should now power off. If the device does not power off the correct code has not yet been entered. Repeat steps 2-6 until the correct code listed for the brand of the device is entered and the device responds and powers off.

*note: If the device does not have a power button use the play button.

7. When the correct code is found, write the code down for future reference.

8. Repeat each step (1-7) above for each device you would like to control.
